REVIEW OF MUSIKMESSE

REVIEW OF MUSIKMESSE

Musikmesse Frankfurt is held annually each Spring at the Frankfurt Trade Fair in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. After more than 25 years, it's now one of the big two musical instrument and production trade shows, alongside NAMM.

Götz M. Schneider-Rothhaar gave the IAEL lecture on music licensing issues for film, tv, computer games and ads.

Even though the music fair is the biggest of its kind in the world, it mainly focuses on instruments and stage technique and grants the LEA Award, the most important live entertainment award in Germany.

For several years now the music fair has established an accompanying, fine congress on important topics of the entertainment business. This time it was organized by Wolfgang Weyand who is also always very much involved in the German record-management and artist business.

Wolfgang Weyand did a great job, so it turned out to be a great mix between workshops, panels and discussions, also involving major German politicians and performing artists.
