| Personal CV: | Professional profile: I advise on a broad range of topics within all fields of intellectual property law, including in particular copyright law, trademark law and marketing practices law. As a significant part of my practice, I advise media clients and IP clients within other sectors with dispute related as well as transactional matters, including with the negotiation and drafting of licensing, distribution and other agreements disposing of intellectual property rights. I also frequently advise on IP related aspects of M&A transactions, and generally advise on M&A transactions where IP rights are in focus. Years spent practicing in the US: Before joining Bird & Bird, I spent a number of years practicing law in the US, specializing in advising on issues involving US-Danish law. A significant part of this work involved helping Danish clients (often technology based) with US interests set up US corporate structures, taking due consideration to both commercial and tax aspects, as well as the need for adequate shielding of liability. I often assisted clients in drafting and negotiating corporate and commercial contracts, and advised on dispute resolution, including instructing and overseeing litigation counsel retained on the client’s behalf. Still admitted to the State Bar of California, I continue to draw from my experience working in the US, when advising clients facing Danish-US law issues. |
